The product demonstrates hydrogen production with the purple bacterium Rhodospirillum rubrum using fruit and dairy waste as C and energy sources. In addition to H2 production, as a consequence of the photosynthesis apparatus, high-value products (such as terpenoids) are also produced simultaneously.
