Novozymes Award 2018 goes to Prof. Matthias Reuss

Professor Matthias Reuss of the SRCSB receives the Novozymes Award for Excellence in Biochemical and Chemical Engineering 2018. The award comes with a monetary prize of 100.000 Danish kroner and will be presented at a symposium at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, Denmark, later this year.

About the award

Established 2015 in honor of Professor emeritus John Villadsen at the DTU, the selection of awardees among nominees received through an open call is based on the following five criteria: (1) Innovation through research, education, or practice of chemical and biochemical engineering. (2) Successful development of new products, processes or services. (3) Research at the interface of chemical or biological science and engineering. (4) Significant publication, patents, or technology development in the field. (5) Demonstrated economic or societal impact through innovation or practice of chemical and biochemical engineering.
